The Evergreens Lifestyle Center is a place where seniors 55+ can come enjoy fun and enriching activities. Adults 55 years of age and older are invited to socialize with their peers and participate in a variety of programs. The purpose of the Evergreens Lifestyle Center is to provide a comfortable, supportive, and healthy environment for participants to engage in activities to enhance their independence, health, and quality of life.

The Evergreens Lifestyle Center is certified through the North Carolina Division of Aging and Adult Services as a Senior Center of Excellence.

 

We offer more than 90 programs a month!
Our programs include:

Exercise Classes:

(Class fees are listed below, and fee waivers are available.)

AHOY - Adding Health to Our Years - Mondays at 9:15 am - $4

AFEP - Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program - Mondays at 1:30pm - $5

Better Balance - Tuesdays at 9:00 am - $4

Advanced Better Balance - Tuesdays at 9:45 am - $4
 
Zumba Gold - Tuesdays at 1pm - $5
 
Cardio Drumming - Wednesdays at 1pm - $5
 
Tai Chi - Thursdays at 12:30 pm - $4
 
Chair Yoga - Fridays at 9:15 am - $4
 
 

Fitness Center

We have a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment including treadmills, recumbent bikes, stationary bike, leg press, weight machine, and a rowing machine in a comfortable, welcoming environment. 
 
          
 

Arts:

We have ongoing arts and crafts classes and events, including painting, jewelry making, crochet, and more.

 
Book Club:
 
Come read and discuss the latest book in our Book Club.
 
 
Movies:
 
Enjoy your favorite films and free popcorn every Friday afternoon! We encourage suggestions for favorite movies you would like to see!
 
 
Games:
 
Do you like games? We have Trivia Time, Dominoes, cards, a bi-monthly pizza and game night, a jigsaw puzzle lending library, and more!

Check out a tablet or laptop and surf the web or learn how to use Virtual Reality!

We provide an array of presentations that address issues important to seniors, such as health, finances, technology, and better living for all.
