Foster Grandparents
The Foster Grandparent program matches senior adults age 60 and over with children and youth. The seniors serve as role models and mentors for children in childcare centers, elementary schools and after-school programs.

Foster Grandparents work one-on-one with children offering specialized assistance to help youngsters in reaching their potential. Foster Grandparents serve 20 hours per week and receive a stipend. The program is funed by the Corporation for National and Community Service and is sponsored in Guilford County by Senior Resources of Guilford.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Support groups and educational programs are available for grandparents age 60 and over who are the primary support for their grandchildren. These services are offered in partnership with the YWCAs of Greensboro and High Point.
