Senior Resources of
Guilford through its membership in the Meals on Wheels Association of America
(MOWAA) has been awarded a $15,000.00 Impact Grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation. These
dollars in combination with Community Development Block Grant funding from the
City of High Point
and funding from the J. Richard
and Sybel F. Hayworth Foundation have underwritten the cost of purchasing a new
custom outfitted delivery vehicle to deliver Mobile Meals in the Greater High
Point area. The ability to
leverage local dollars in order to secure the Wal-Mart Impact Grant through
Senior Resources’ membership in MOWAA has helped to ensure the continuity of
service in High Point
by enabling us to replace a 9 year old vehicle with prohibitive repair
costs.
Senior Resources of
Guilford expresses its appreciation to the Wal-Mart Foundation, MOWAA, the J.
Richard and Sybel F. Hayworth Foundation and the City of High Point for helping
Senior Resources of Guilford meet the long term equipment needs of providing
meals to seniors in the Greater High Point area. |
